Atlantis Property Services needed a complete technology solution when moving into their new flagship Reading location.

As part of the refurbishment of a new central office, the Atlantis group used the opportunity to revisit their ageing IT infrastructure and start from fresh with cutting edge technology.

After consultation, Infinity IT, proposed a Microsoft Terminal Server 2008 solution based around a Microsoft Small Business Server environment. The terminal server would provide a central location for the deployment of standard office applications and industry specific software. Windows Small Business Server was used to provide email, storage and infrastructure management for the desktop PCs. To maximise cost effectiveness Wyse thin client PCs were used instead of new desktop PCs. These thin client PCs connect directly to the terminal server providing all staff with access to email and office applications. Terminal Server technology allows access to common data and applications without the costly maintenance and expense that desktop PCs bring with them.
